|1.1||Download, read, and fill out the SIDA Badge Application and additional forms below.|
|1.2||Call 707-565-7243 to schedule a fingerprinting appointment in the Airport Manager's Office, 2290 Airport Boulevard, Santa Rosa. Bring your Sponsor if necessary (see Step 1.3).|
|1.3||The signature of your Sponsor/Employer (Authorized Signer) is required to authorize and process your application. Unless your Sponsor can provide a letter of authorization, they must accompany you to your first appointment. Note: If you are a contractor, call us at (707) 565-7243; there is a separate process for this step.|
Bring your application forms and two forms of identification to your appointment. The application cannot be processed without the required ID. If you have questions about acceptable ID, refer to Form I-9 or call 707-565-7243. Bring original ID, photocopies are not accepted.
Please note: If the U.S. is not your country of birth you will need to bring in an additional form of identification. Please provide a current U.S. passport, a Certificate of Birth Abroad, OR a Naturalization Number to complete the application process. Your application cannot be processed without this additional identification.
|1.5||During the appointment your application and identification will be checked, your picture taken, and your fingerprints will be scanned.|
|2.1||Once you have been fingerprinted your information it will be submitted to the FBI and TSA for approval.|
|2.2||The background check and approval process takes about a week to ten days to complete.|
|2.3||Once your application is approved, the Airport Manager's Office will notify you or your employer. You will be asked to schedule training at that time.|
|3.1||Call (707) 565-7243 to schedule training and badge pick up in the Airport Manager's Office.|
|3.2||Please be on time for your appointment. If you are more than ten minutes late, it may be necessary to reschedule for another day.|
||SIDA training takes about 45 minutes, please plan accordingly.|
|3.4||Important: Background checks are only good for 30 days from the initial approval date. Applicants must attend SIDA training during the 30 day period. If training is not completed within the 30 day period, it is required that a new background check be performed and paid for before training and badge issuance can be scheduled.|
