Charles M. Schulz – Sonoma County Airport (STS) is proud to serve the air transportation needs of the region. We strive to be a good neighbor to those who live and work near the Airport and to respond to your concerns. We ask pilots to respect our fly-friendly policy and to operate their aircraft with the safety and comfort of neighbors in mind. Safety is our priority and safety always comes first, for those in the air and on the ground.

STS serves many different types of aircraft including propeller aircraft, turbine aircraft, helicopters, and hot-air balloons. Jet aircraft are allowed to, and do, operate out of STS. While this does not cover every type of operation, these categories cover 95% of Airport activity. Air cargo, search-and-rescue, law enforcement, firefighting, military, corporate and personal aircraft operate at the Airport every day. We also offer nonstop air service on Alaska Airlines to Los Angeles (LAX), Portland (PDX), San Diego (SAN), Seattle (SEA), and Orange County (SNA).

Neighbors who are disturbed by loud flying aircraft or other types of operations are encouraged to call the Airport’s Complaint Line at (707) 544-4787. This line is connected to a digital recorder that takes messages 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In addition, complaints will be accepted by phone, voice mail, or a personal visit to the Airport office. Please refer to the Neighborhood Guide for more information about Airport operations and the complaint process.
